How to get here.

Affectionately known as "Little Canada", Champex is a picturesque village nestled in the Swiss Alps at a height of 1500 metres and forms part of the Mont Blanc Massif.

Located in the French speaking Canton of Valais, Champex is ideally situated for easy access to both the French and Italian Alps. It is only a 20 minute drive to the historic town of Martigny that contains the ruins of a roman amphitheatre, the world famous Pierre Gianadda Art Foundation, as well as street cafes and restaurants.

If you are planning to come to Champex and remain in the locality to relax and explore the local mountain trails, then using public transport is fine. But if you are planning to explore the wider Valais region and use Champex-Lac as a base to ski inVerbier or Chamonix, then a hire car  is highly recommended. Champex really is a wonderful base to explore the exceptional beauty of the entire Valais region and beyond.

From Geneva Airport, driving a hire car to Champex is relatively easy. Geneva Airport has most  car hire companies and the drive from the airport take approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.
