La Residence Grand Combin

This four/five -person apartment in the picturesque village of Champex is located in a grand lakeside Victorian building "La Residence Grand Combin" which was originally a hotel. With its exquisite panoramic lake and mountain views, our luxury lakeside apartment has been furnished and maintained to an exceptionally high standard.

The Living Area:

An open-plan, light and spacious living area, leading onto two balconies. The views of the lake in winter or summer are simply breathtaking.

At the end of an action-packed day skiing, hiking or exploring the local Valais region, there is nothing like curling up on the comfortable corner sofa* in front of the log fire.

With all of the comforts of home, you will find within the living room a modern flat screen cable TV and DVD player with a selection of films for your enjoyment.

You will also find a variety of fun board games and books.

*Corner sofa converts into a double bed.

The Kitchen:

The spacious kitchen features a solid granite work top and every modern appliance to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We encourage guests to make full use of the electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle and toaster.

There is a pristine 6-person white dinner service and separate children's forks, knives and plastic bowls for guests with children.

Of course, if you don't feel like cooking in, there are several lovely Valais restaurants to choose from within walking distance of our lakeside apartment.

(Shared laundry facilities in the downstairs communal area is complimentary for all guests.)

The Dining Area:

The dining area seats six people around a solid pine table.

There is also a solid granite breakfast bar with two stools from which you can enjoy a quick drink or snack.

Alternatively, dining on the balcony overlooking Lac Champex in summer is an absolute delight, as is a glass of local Valais wine at sunset.

Bedroom 1 - The Master Bedroom:

The master bedroom with solid pine furniture has a modern en-suite bathroom and luxurious underfloor heating, to keep guests snug during the winter months.

This room also features double doors onto its own separate balcony; a wonderful spot overlooking the lake for a morning coffee or to sit and read.

All bedding and fluffy towels are provided.

You will also find a hairdryer and selection of books and novels.

Bedroom 2 - The Twin Room:

A lovely light room with solid pine twin beds and wardrobe.

This room is adjacent to a separate contemporary shower room.

Again, fluffy towels and fresh bedlinen are provided.

The apartment features three large balconies. Two are accessed from the living area (one with outdoor dining table and chairs). The third balcony is accessed from the master bedroom and has a small bistro table with two chairs. All three balconies have the most spectacular view directly of Lac Champex and the surrounding mountains.

There is a shoe cabinet in the hall outside the apartment for your use. In addition, there is a boot room located on the ground floor for changing into and out of muddy boots and walking shoes.

The indoor garage is accessed via the remote controlled electric door. Here there is a parking space for your complimentary use when staying at the apartment. Opposite the parking space, there is a ski rack for the exclusive use of our guests.
